Bendix 526C Catalin Radio in Green with Black

Great Bendix 526C Catalin radio in Swirled Green with Black trim. This Art Deco Bendix Tube Radio made circa 1946 is extremely stylish with the marbleized green cabinet and contrasting black front, a color combination only found on this model catalin radio.

This model radio incorporates both a unique design + construction. The swirled green catalin top + sides are molded into one U-shaped piece that fits down over the black catalin piece which forms the front and base of the radio The two rounded corner pieces that bolt onto either side of the dial are a unique feature unlike anything found on any other radio.

Radio is in beautiful original condition and retains a beautiful natural gloss that shows off the marbleized color. Cabinet and trim are in very perfect original condition with no cracks, chips, tube burns or repairs.  The cabinet has small surface scratches consistent with age and light careful use. Radio retains its original manufacturer's sticker on the bottom and the masonite back panel. The original gold and black dial plastic is also in perfect condition.

Radio measures approximately 11" Wide x 7" High x 6" Deep. This set is sold "as-is + untested", the chassis seems complete. Set is being sold as a "non-working" vintage electronic device that should be gone over by a qualified technician.
