Addison 5 Catalin "Courthouse" Radio in Dark Green + Butterscotch
Intensely Marbleized Catalin Large Addison 5
Ref: RA260
Catalin Addison Model 5 radio in incredibly marbleized dark green/black case and butterscotch trim. This is a magnificent and exquisitely crafted stately Art Deco radio. Manufactured in the 1940's by ADDISON INDUSTRIES LIMITED in Toronto, Canada also known to collectors as the "Courthouse" or "Large" Addison.
The catalin has a deep shine, rich color, glow and also has exceptionally striking yellow marbleizing that add dimension to the radio. The radio is in original, untouched condition, and is just a stunning example of this Addison model.
This beautiful set is in great condition with no cracks, chips, tube burns or repairs. The five butterscotch vertical grill bars are original as are the three pinwheel knobs. The radio retains its original reverse painted dial glass also in excellent condition. The grill cloth is original and has no tears or stains and has only a small amount of wear. This is truly a remarkable radio in excellent condition. Retains original manufacturers paper label on bottom.
This stately radio measures approximately: 12.5" Wide by 9" High by 7" Deep. Chassis seems complete but radio is not working, tubes light up and radio hums. Radio is being sold as a "non-working" vintage electronic device that should be gone over by a qualified technician prior to use.
