Intensely Marbleized Catalin Large Addison 5 Radio

Wonderfully marbleized Addison Model 5 catalin radio in a dark green cabinet with bright yellow trim. This is a magnificent + exquisitely crafted stately Art Deco radio. Manufactured in the 1940's by ADDISON INDUSTRIES LIMITED in Toronto, Canada also known to collectors as the 'Courthouse' or 'Large' Addison.

The catalin has a deep shine, rich color, glow and also has exceptionally striking white and green tone marbleizing that add dimension to the radio. The example is just a stunning example of this Addison model.

This beautiful glossy cabinet is in great condition with no cracks, chips, tube burns or repairs. The five light yellow vertical grill bars and the three pinwheel knobs are original and free of defects. The grill cloth is original and displays only a small amount of wear. Reverse painted dial glass is original showing on some signs of age/use. This is truly a remarkable radio in excellent condition.

This stately radio measures approximately: 12.5" Wide by 9" High by 7" Deep. This set is sold "as-is + untested", the chassis seems complete; cord is cut. Set is being sold as a "non-working" vintage electronic device that should be gone over by a qualified technician prior to use.
