Machine Age Saunders "Silver Streak" Pyrex Glass Electric Iron in incredible bright Red. This iron was produced in 1945 by Corning Glass (Pyrex) of New York and Saunders Machine & Tool Company for a short amount of time during World War II.

This iron is in great original condition, with no chips or blemishes to the glass. The red paint/coating is also in great original condition with only barely discernible wear more like some tiny air bubble looking area on the left side that you have to turn the iron under a just the right angle/light to see (looks to be factory not from use).

The name Silver Streak is stamped on the chrome end plate along with Saunders since 1858, Model 1038, 1000 watts, 110-20 volts a.c. only, see photos. The cord does show some fading, use/fraying consistent with careful light use and age.

Iron measures approximately 4" Wide x 9" Long and is 5.75" high
