Incredible Emerson BT-245 Catalin 'Tombstone' radio from 1938 in a beautifully marbleized lapis lazuli blue cabinet. This radio is absolutely stunning + seldom found in this color. The lapis lazuli blue swirled Catalin cabinet is marbleized with tones of white, clear + blue that adds depth to an already beautiful radio. The rich deep color is brought out even more with its contrasting ivory louvered grill + knobs. The radio is in original, untouched condition, and is just a great example of this Emerson 'Tombstone' model.
Radio cabinet has been polished + has an incredible gloss. Radio cabinet is in perfect condition with no cracks, chips, tube burns or repairs. Has small scratches consistent with age and use. This models fragile plastic grill and knobs, which are prone to deterioration, have been replaced with correct replacements. Water-slide decal and dial plastic are correct replacements.
Radio measures approximately: 7" wide by 10" high by 5" deep. This set is sold "as-is + untested", the chassis seems complete; cord is cut. Set is being sold as a "non-working" vintage electronic device that should be gone over by a qualified technician prior to use.
