Bright Marbleized Emerald Green FADA Model F55 Catalin Radio
Rare early wrap around grill FADA Catalin Radio
Ref: RA762
Seldom seen FADA F55 in highly marbleized Emerald Green with yellow wrap-around grille and knobs. This Art Deco model made in 1938 by FADA Radio + Electric Company has a beautiful design and size. The vibrant emerald green cabinet is beautifully marbleized with yellow, darker and lighter green veins.
The vibrant green catalin cabinet is free of chips, tube burns or repairs; however it does have two small hairline cracks located on the bottom of the cabinet and can not bee seen when displayed. This small damage is common to this model due to the proximity of the screw hole to back edge of cabinet. The marbleized yellow insert grill and fluted knobs are original to the radio and have no damage. Radio retains the original manufacturers sticker affixed to the bottom. Clear dial plastic cover and water-slide decal are correct replacements. This beautiful FADA has been well taken care of and has very few small scratches consistent with light use. This radio is as clean as one can be found and would truly make a great addition to any radio or Deco collection
Radio measures approximately: 9" wide by 5.5" high by 4" deep. This set is sold "as-is + untested", the chassis seems complete. Set is being sold as a "non-working" vintage electronic device that should be gone over by a qualified technician.
