Catalin Addison 2 'Waterfall' Art Deco Radio in Yellow + Red
Great Color 1940's Addison Waterfall Design
Ref: RA407
Beautiful Light Yellow with Red Catalin Addison 2 tube radio made circa 1940 by Addison Industries Limited in Canada. The unique styling and bold use of color would make this radio a truly beautiful addition to any collection. This stylized Art Deco radio features the famous "waterfall" speaker grill trim and surround "bumpers" with speed-lines that really make for a streamlined radio design. It is one of the most striking color combinations for a Catalin radio. The cabinet is a beautiful light yellow with faint marbleizing that really adds depth to the cabinet.
The yellow color is brought out even more with its contrasting bright red trim. The radio is in original, untouched condition, and is just a stunning example of this catalin Addison model. The glossy catalin cabinet has a beautiful even patina and is in excellent condition with no cracks, chips or repairs. The red catalin trim is complete and factory original to the radio and has no cracks, chips, burns or repairs. The original matching yellow catalin 'pinwheel' marbleized knobs are perfect. Manufactures paper label is still affixed to the bottom of cabinet. Clear dial plastic cover is a replacement.
Radio measures approximately 10.25" wide x 6" high x 5" deep. This set is sold "as-is + untested", the chassis seems complete. Set is being sold as a "non-working" vintage electronic device that should be gone over by a qualified technician.
