Rare + unusual 1940 Garod 1450 "Peak-Top" Catalin radio in butterscotch with raspberry trim. The Catalin cabinet has a deep shine that makes its rich color glow and shows off the exceptionally striking raspberry Catalin trim. The radio is in original, untouched condition, and is just a stunning example of this Garod model. This model radio is seldom seen in colors other than all butterscotch and in this fine of a condition.
This beautiful set is in great condition with no cracks, chips, tube burns or repairs to the Catalin cabinet or trim. The radio retains its original textured gold grill cloth which has no tears or stains and has only a small amount of wear and the manufactures paper label is still affixed to the bottom of cabinet. Dial plastic has been replaced. This is truly a remarkable radio in excellent condition.
This stately radio measures approximately: 10.5" Wide by 8" High by 5.85" Deep. This set is sold "as-is + untested", the chassis seems complete. Set is being sold as a "non-working" vintage electronic device that should be gone over by a qualified technician.
