The Climax ‘Baby Ruby’ Tear-drop radio made in 1937/38 is an Art Deco rarity. Although the styling of this cabinet makes a strong Art Deco statement, the radio is relatively small measuring only 7.7" in height. The tear-drop design is a refreshing, futuristic departure from the heavy ornate cabinets of the time. The cabinets dynamic downward swooping shape evokes movement. 

The radios’ cabinet has a beautiful older restoration that really makes the striped walnut veneer on the cabinet really stand out on the shiny black base.  The brown Bakelite knobs, grill cloth and wood back panel are original to the radio. Dial face is an exact replacement. This striking Art Deco tube radio would make for a rare addition to a collection. 

Radio measures approximately: 7.7” by 6.75” high by 5.5” deep. This set is sold "as-is + untested", the chassis seems complete. Set is being sold as a "non-working" vintage electronic device that should be gone over by a qualified technician.
