Stunning Catalin DeWald model A-502 'Step-Top' insert grill model in a rare and beautifully marbleized oxblood red cabinet with butterscotch trim. Manufactured in 1939 by DeWald Radio Mfg Corp, out of New York is a magnificent, exquisitely crafted Art Deco radio.
The catalin cabinet has a rich color, and glow combined with exceptionally striking yellow and orange colorful marbleizing that looks like veins of fire running through the cabinet. The radio is in original condition, and is just a great example of this DeWald model.
This beautiful set is in great condition with no cracks, chips, tube burns or repairs. The butterscotch pinwheel knobs and insert grill are original to the radio and are perfect. The DeWald cream and red reverse painted curved dial glass is original and in excellent condition. Cardboard back panel and manufacturers sticker are still present. This is truly a remarkable radio in excellent condition.
This radio measures approximately: 9.75" wide by 6.5" high by 5.75" deep. This set is sold "as-is + untested", the chassis seems complete. Set is being sold as a "non-working" vintage electronic device that should be gone over by a qualified technician.
