Emerson A-148 Wood Tube Radio - Great 'Leaning' Ingraham Cabinet Design

The 1937 Emerson A-148 radio has to be one of the finest Ingraham cabinets made with it's beautiful book matched veneer, black trim, splined corners, with a graceful lean on its matching cradle. The richness of the all original veneers used by Ingraham have a remarkable of depth of color that is just stunning. This E. Ingraham Company of Bristol, Connecticut made cabinet for Emerson Radio is rarely seen example. Please view all photos to see the incredible workmanship and design of this radio.
This example is in wonderful condition having been professionally restored at some point; highlighting the beautiful veneers. The radio retains it's original brown Bakelite knobs, gold celluloid dial, original gold grille cloth, original brass dial bezel and the matching wood Ingraham back which is stamped with the model number. The base of the cradle is stamped "MADE IN U.S.A." and A-148. The dial plastic and Emerson decal are correct replacements. Radio has been well taken care of and only shows some fine scratches consistent with age + careful use. This striking Art Deco tube radio would make for a rare addition to a collection.
This stately radio measures approximately: 12.5" Wide by 11" High by 7" Deep(plus base and lean angle). This set is sold "as-is + untested", the chassis seems complete. Set is being sold as a "non-working" vintage electronic device that should be gone over by a qualified technician.
