Emerson AX-235 'Little-Miracle' Catalin Radio in Yellow
Beautiful Marbleized Yellow Emerson Little Miracle
Ref: RA794
Emerson AX-235 radio known as the 'Little Miracle' in Warm Yellow Catalin with Black trim. Made in 1938 by Emerson Radio + Television is Emerson's first example of a small Catalin radio that also features a unique louvered insert grill. The cabinet is a warm medium yellow with marbleizing + transparency that really adds depth to the cabinet. The yellow is brought out with its contrasting black louvered grill + knobs. The radio is in original, untouched condition, and is just a great example of this Emerson 'Little Miracle' model; it's not often that you find a yellow example without a tube burn or crack.
The cabinet is in perfect condition with no cracks, chips, tube burns or repairs. This models fragile black plastic grill + knobs which, are prone to deterioration, are original + good condition showing only some mild warp and wear on the grill. Dial plastic and decal are correct replacements. Has small scratches consistent with age and use. This radio is absolutely beautiful and would make a fantastic addition to a collection.
Radio measures approximately: 9.75" wide by 7.25" high by 5" deep. This set is sold "as-is + untested", the chassis seems complete. Set is being sold as a "non-working" vintage electronic device that should be gone over by a qualified technician prior to use.
