Great Emerson Catalin '5+1' Radio

Ref: RA883

Beautiful marbled Yellow with Brown trim Art Deco 1941 Emerson EP-375 '5+1' Catalin radio. This art deco radio was manufactured by Emerson Radio & Television in 1941. This model has become known to collectors as the 5+1 due to the unique insert grill bar layout. This original radio has taken on a beautiful rich warm yellow patina accentuated by streaks of yellow + clear that run throughout the cabinet that makes the radio stand out from others.

Beautiful marbleized catalin cabinet has no cracks, chips, burns or repairs. The Emerson water-slide decal, dial plastic and back panel, brown plastic grille bars and knobs are correct replacements. It does have one tiny hairline on the rear back panel retaining hole where back panel attaches....not visible from outside when radio is displayed since it is on the inside. Radio has small scratches, scuffs consistent with age + use of set. Radio cabinet has been hand polished to an incredible gloss. This radio is absolutely stunning and would make a fantastic addition to a collection.

Radio measures approximately: 9.5" wide by 5.75" high by 4.75" deep. This set is sold "as-is + untested", the chassis seems complete; cord is cut. Set is being sold as a "non-working" vintage electronic device that should be gone over by a qualified technician prior to use.
