Beautiful Bright Red Catalin Art Deco Emerson 'Patriot' model FC-400 designed in 1940 by industrial designer Norman Bel Geddes. This example would make for a wonderful addition to a radio or deco collection The bright red Catalin cabinet retains its original factory gloss and is in perfect condition with no cracks, chips, tube burns or repairs. Great Polar White Catalin Emerson "Patriot" by Industrial Designer Bel Geddes
Bright Polar White Catalin Art Deco Emerson "Patriot" Radio model FC-400 designed in 1940 by industrial designer Norman Bel Geddes. With war looming over Europe and becoming an increasing threat to the USA, this radio's theme struck a chord with American radio buyers, who turned it into a best seller for Emerson. Emerson 511 "Moderne" Green Bakelite Raymond Loewy Designed Mid-Century Radio
Great Gold + Black Swirls
Retro Raymond Loewy Designed Emerson 511 in Pistachio Green Plaskon with great gold marbling made in 1947. The radio is also refereed to as the "Moderne" and is a highly collectible eye-catching radio. The design is credited to famous industrial designer Raymond Loewy, the designer of Deco locomotives, Studebakers, and many well-known corporate logos. The radio features a design unlike any other. The clear plastic bubble dial cover floats over the gold painted metallic grill, which covers much of the front. A block of ivory Plaskon, whose back has a recess for the pilot light, anchors the dial cover to the cabinet at its top. When you turn on the radio, the illuminated block sheds a soft light over the dial, a beautiful effect in a darkened room. Radio has a cleverly designed molded handle on the top that also served to ventilate the set, as this set is closed on all sides and is designed to be viewed from all angles. The radio is in original, untouched condition, with a beautiful and natural gloss and is just a great example of this Raymond Loewy Emerson radio. The beautiful and brightly colored marbleized pistachio green Plaskon Bakelite cabinet is in great original condition, with no chips, major cracks, burns or repairs. All the case has are two very small hairlines. These hairlines in no way detract from the beauty of this set. The fist hairline can be seen to the left of the logo by speaker grill, a common area for this set to have a hairline. The second is a small 3/4" brownish line in the left side of the radio towards the bottom that can barely be seen even when looking for it. The original plastic dial bubble has a small amount of warp and yellowing, normal for this model. The gold painted metal perforated mesh grill has a few small areas of oxidation/wear. Radio retains the original ivory Plaskon knobs and manufacturers sticker on the bottom and inside of case. Radio measures approximately: 11.5" wide x 7.5" high x 6.5" deep. This set is sold "as-is + untested", the chassis seems complete. Set is being sold as a "non-working" vintage electronic device that should be gone over by a qualified technician.

Emerson Model 411 "Mickey Mouse" Rare Original Disney Painted Version
Seldom Seen all Original 78 Year Old Disney Mickey Tube Radio in Great Condition
Beautiful early 1934 original painted version of the Emerson Model 411 Repwood "Mickey Mouse" Radio. The model 411 was 1 in a series of 4 "Mickey Mouse" novelty sets the Emerson manufactures under license from the Disney Corporation. The 4 panels on the radio are made of Repwood or pressed wood and have hand carved and painted figures. This original and complete Mickey Mouse radio is just incredible and in wonderful condition for a 78 year old radio. The differences between this painted version + a regular Repwood model are the ivory background painted dial escutcheons and front "Mickey Mouse" metal plates and the grill cloth. Emerson BD-197 "Mae West" Art Deco Sakhnoffsky Designed Radio
Striking Design on This Rare and Beautiful Mae-West Radio
This Art Deco Emerson "Mae West" radio was designed by Count Alexis De Sakhnoffsky. This provocative design using circular shaped wood was radical in a time when rectangular tombstone radios and furniture-like consoles were stylish. No other radio made by Emerson compares to the Mae West in design. This is what makes the BD-197 quite rare today and would be the highlight of any radio collection. Radio's cabinet was made for Emerson Radio by Ingraham of Bristol, Connecticut This example is in excellent condition and has been cosmetically restored at one time. The finish has a lustre to it and a beautiful rich color with very few imperfections/dings in the wood. The swirled Tenite dial + speaker bezels with the famous Mae West cones are in great condition with very little warpage and also have no cracks or repairs. The cone over the dial(right) has a little scuff mark on the tip which does not detract from the beauty of the radio. The original plastic dial lens has no hazing and very little yellowing and wood knobs are original. The blue, red and gold dial is colorful and looks great. The grill cloth is original and in good condition with normal discoloration, age wear and one dime sized area that is worn through. This set is sold "as-is + untested", the chassis seems complete. Set is being sold as a "non-working" vintage electronic device that should be gone over by a qualified technician
