Emerson "Strad" CH-256 Ingraham cabinet tube radio
1939 Emerson "Stradivarius" model CH-256 has to be one of the most beautiful Ingraham cabinets made. The radio's elegant violin shape, sounding cutouts and grille bars that resemble the strings of a violin are unlike any other radio. Here is your chance to add this fine example of this "D" dial Emerson to your collection. Radio has been lightly cosmetically restored back to its original beauty. Radio's original finish was not stripped. Wooden case was gently cleaned and new coat of colorless sheer gloss lacquer was applied and the dark brown/black accents were re-painted. Radio still shows some small darker spots on the wood consistent with the normal use and age. The radio was a very clean example prior to restoration, and it had no missing or chipped veneers or the wrap around inlays. The richness of the all original veneers used by Ingraham have a remarkable depth of color that is just stunning. Please view all photos to see the incredible workmanship and design of this radio. The radio still retains its original metal Ingraham tag on the bottom and it's original Bakelite knobs. The gold painted metal dial is original and in great condition with only a small signs of age. The dial plastic has been replaced as the original had yellowed. This small radio measures approximately: 10.5" wide by 6.25" high by 4.5" deep. This set is sold "as-is + untested", the chassis seems complete. Set is being sold as a "non-working" vintage electronic device that should be gone over by a qualified technician.

Emerson BD-197 "Mae West" Art Deco Sakhnoffsky Designed Radio
Striking Design on This Rare and Beautiful Mae-West Radio
This Art Deco Emerson "Mae West" radio was designed by Count Alexis De Sakhnoffsky. This provocative design using circular shaped wood was radical in a time when rectangular tombstone radios and furniture-like consoles were stylish. No other radio made by Emerson compares to the Mae West in design. This is what makes the BD-197 quite rare today and would be the highlight of any radio collection. Radio's cabinet was made for Emerson Radio by Ingraham of Bristol, Connecticut This example is in excellent condition and has been cosmetically restored at one time. The finish has a lustre to it and a beautiful rich color with very few imperfections/dings in the wood. The swirled Tenite dial + speaker bezels with the famous Mae West cones are in great condition with very little warpage and also have no cracks or repairs. The cone over the dial(right) has a little scuff mark on the tip which does not detract from the beauty of the radio. The original plastic dial lens has no hazing and very little yellowing and wood knobs are original. The blue, red and gold dial is colorful and looks great. The grill cloth is original and in good condition with normal discoloration, age wear and one dime sized area that is worn through. This set is sold "as-is + untested", the chassis seems complete. Set is being sold as a "non-working" vintage electronic device that should be gone over by a qualified technician
