Highly marbleized onyx with yellow trim Fada 1000 'Bullet' Catalin Streamliner. This radio's styling epitomizes 1940’s Streamline Art Deco design. Its sleek, rounded lines suggest speed and practicality, hallmarks of streamlined industrial design from those years. The beautiful onyx catalin cabinet has intense orange, brown + white marbleizing and a beautiful transparency. The light yellow trim adds contrast and style to this stunning example of a FADA Bullet Streamliner model.
This onyx and yellow FADA 1000 has no cracks, chips, nicks or repairs; has a very mild tube burn on side that in no way detracts from the beauty of this radio. Radio cabinet has been polished back to its factory original onyx color from its oxidized caramel coloring. The yellow catalin dial ring, fluted knobs and handle are original + correct to the radio and also in great condition with no cracks, chips or repairs. The beautiful Art Deco gold "Gemloid" dial face is bright and has no paint wear. Radio retains the original gold fabric grill cloth and back panel. Dial plastic cover is a correct replacement. This radio is as clean as one can be found and would truly make a great addition to any radio or Deco collection.
Radio measures approximately: 10.25" wide by 6.25" high by 5.5" deep. This set is sold "as-is + untested", the chassis seems complete; dial string does not work. Set is being sold as a "non-working" vintage electronic device that should be gone over by a qualified technician.
