Fada 652 Temple Lapis-Lazuli Blue Catalin Radio - Great Swirls
Ref: RA902
Rare FADA 652 'Temple' Catalin radio in incredibly marbleized lapis-lazuli blue with yellow trim. The bright blue cabinet has veins of white with tones of blue and clear running through it that makes this an incredible example. This rarely seen blue example was part of the 1940-1942 model 652 radio lineup. The original yellow trim adds contrast and style to this example of a FADA Temple model.
The glossy Catalin cabinet is perfect with no cracks, chips or repairs and has beautiful intense marbleizing that really adds depth to the cabinet. Radio has been cut/polished back to its factory original blue color. The yellow catalin dial surround and fluted knobs are original to this radio and in perfect condition. Radio retains its original gold fabric grill cloth with mild signs of age as expected, and the cardboard back panel. Reverse painted dial glass is an exact replacement for the original one that is often is damaged on this model.
This radio is as clean as one can be found and would truly make a great addition to any radio or Deco collection.
Radio measures approximately: 10.85" wide by 6.75" high by 5.75" deep. This set is sold "as-is + untested", the chassis seems complete. Set is being sold as a "non-working" vintage electronic device that should be gone over by a qualified technician prior to use.
