Highly Marbleized FADA 'Bullet' Model 1000 in Lapis-Lazuli Blue with Yellow Catalin radio with incredible marbling - beautiful + original Art Deco radio. Stunningly marbleized lapis-lazuli blue with yellow trim. The bright blue cabinet has veins of white with tones of blue and clear running through it that makes this an incredible example. This radio styling epitomizes 1940's Streamline design with its sleek rounded lines that suggest speed and practicality, hallmarks of streamlined industrial design from those years. FADA produced many radios and televisions over the years, but its Catalin radios, particularly the 'Bullet' are the best-known models.
This rare Catalin radio has no cracks, chips, nicks, repairs, or tube burns to cabinet or trim. The original + perfect yellow trim adds contrast and style to this stunning example of a FADA Bullet Streamliner model. Radio has been polished back to its factory original blue color from its oxidized green coloring. Radio retains its original cardboard back panel and gold grill cloth in superb condition. The Art Deco gold 'Gemloid' dial face is bright and in great condition. Clear dial plastic cover is a correct replacement. Radio has been well taken care of and only shows some fine scratches consistent with age + careful use.
This highly marbleized blue and yellow Fada 'Bullet' is as clean as one can be found and would truly make a great addition to any radio or Deco collection.
Radio measures approximately: 10.85" wide by 6.75" high by 5.75" deep. This set is sold "as-is + untested", the chassis seems complete. Set is being sold as a "non-working" vintage electronic device that should be gone over by a qualified technician prior to use.
