Iconic FADA 'Bullet' Model 1000 in Plum/Maroon with Butterscotch Catalin - beautiful + original Art Deco radio. This radio styling epitomizes 1940's Streamline design with its sleek rounded lines that suggest speed and practicality, hallmarks of streamlined industrial design from those years. FADA produced many radios and televisions over the years, but its Catalin radios, particularly the 'Bullet' are the best-known models.
The Catalin cabinet retains the factory gloss, the butterscotch trim adds contrast and style to this stunning example of a FADA Bullet Streamliner model. This maroon and yellow FADA 1000 has no cracks, chips, tube burns or repairs. The Butterscotch Catalin dial ring, fluted knobs and handle are original to this radio and in perfect condition with no cracks, chips, burns or repairs. The 'Gemloid' dial face is in great condition. Radio retains the partial original cardboard back panel and original gold grill cloth. Clear dial plastic cover is a replacement.
This radio is as clean as one can be found and would truly make a great addition to any radio or Deco collection.
Radio measures approximately: 10.25" Wide by 5.5" Deep by 6.5" High. This set is sold "as-is + untested", the chassis seems complete. Set is being sold as a "non-working" vintage electronic device that should be gone over by a qualified technician prior to use.
