Beautiful FADA L-56 Catalin Radio in Marbleized Blue + Yellow
Great Early Wrap-Around FADA L-56 Catalin Radio
Ref: RA620
Rare FADA L-56 catalin radio in highly marbleized blue (green patina) with butterscotch wrap-around grille + knobs. This Art Deco catalin model made in 1939 by FADA Radio + Electric Company has a beautiful design and size. This seldom seen blue + butterscotch catalin example is a beautiful example with great swirls and vibrance. The green(blue) colored cabinet has veins of yellow with tones of blue and green running through it that makes this an incredible example
The glossy bluish-green catalin cabinet is in excellent condition with no chips, repairs or tube burns; however it does have one tight hairline in-between the bottom left corner of dial and grill that is difficult to see in person. Please see photos. The yellow marbleized catalin knobs and grill and blue catalin handle are factory original to the radio and free of cracks, chips, burns or repairs. The beautiful graphic dial is bright and in great condition. The dial plastic + water-slide decal are correct replacements. Radio has small scratches consistent with age + use of set. This radio is as clean as one can be found and would truly make a great addition to any radio or Deco collection.
Radio measures approximately: 9" wide by 5.5" high by 4" deep. This set is sold "as-is + untested", the chassis seems complete. Set is being sold as a "non-working" vintage electronic device that should be gone over by a qualified technician.
