Garod 1450 Catalin 'Peak-Top' Radio in Yellow + Red

Seldom seen Garod 1450 'Peak-Top' Catalin radio in light yellow with bright red marbleized trim. This original radio and is just a stunning example of this Garod model.  The light yellow cabinet is set off by the contrasting marbleized red Catalin trim. This model radio is seldom seen in colors other than all butterscotch and in this fine of a condition.

This beautiful set is in great condition with no cracks, tube burns or repairs to the catalin cabinet or trim. Radio Cabinet has on the inside bottom rear left back rail (back panel retaining hole) a small chip that can not be seen when displayed; included but not shown is a replacement back panel. Knobs have been machined from original catalin to the exact specs as original. The radio retains its original textured gold grill cloth which has no tears with only a small amount of staining. Water-slide decal + dial plastic are correct replacements.The Catalin cabinet has taken on a beautiful and even light yellow patina after having been cut/polished back to the original alabaster color years ago. This is truly a remarkable radio in excellent condition. 

This stately radio measures approximately: 10.5" Wide by 8" High by 5.85" Deep. This set is sold "as-is + untested", the chassis seems complete. Set is being sold as a "non-working" vintage electronic device that should be gone over by a qualified technician.
