Seldom seen Garod 1B55L 'Drop-Handle' Catalin radio in a beautiful merlot with yellow. This model radio has an attractive + unique feature, the flush-to-the-top hideaway drop-handle. This design feature is not found on any other radio of the time. The radio is just a stunning example of this rare Garod radio model. This model radio is seldom seen in any color and in this fine of a condition.

This radio's beautiful bright plum Catalin cabinet is in original condition with no cracks, chips, tube burns, or repairs. The radio retains its original matching yellow catalin knobs, grill + drop-handle all in perfect condition. Deco dial is bright with only small signs of age. The radio retains its original textured gold grill cloth. Cabinet retains the original manufactures paper label still affixed to the bottom of cabinet. Water-slide decal + dial plastic are correct replacements. This is truly a remarkable radio in excellent condition.

This radio measures approximately: 11" Wide by 6.5" High by 6" Deep. This set is sold "as-is + untested", the chassis seems complete. Set is being sold as a "non-working" vintage electronic device that should be gone over by a qualified technician.
