Rare Green Color for this Art Deco General Television Radio

Unusual + Beautiful Green General Television radio 5A5 made of highly marbleized Tenite Bakelite, with beautifully contrasting ivory handle, grill, knobs, and dial face frame.  Made in mid 1940's by General Television Radio Corp of Chicago, Illinois, model 5A5.  The gold face features a stunning textured deco sunburst pattern, with a gold Saturn shaped station indicator, beneath which "General Television" appears.

The radio is in original, untouched condition, with a beautiful and natural gloss and is just a superb example of this General Television radio. The beautiful Tenite Bakelite cabinet and ivory polystyrene trim is in incredible original condition. Cabinet + trim have no cracks, chips, or repairs. Cabinet has minor mold marks which are a common occurrence for this material, color + model.  The ivory polystyrene trim is complete and original to the radio and has no cracks, chips, burns or repairs. The gold dial is original and in great condition. The dial plastic is a correct replacement. This radio is as clean as one can be found and would truly make a great addition to any radio or deco collection.

Radio measures approximately: 8.85 wide by 7.5" high to the top of the handle by 5.5" deep. This set is sold "as-is + untested", the chassis seems complete. Set is being sold as a "non-working" vintage electronic device that should be gone over by a qualified technician.
