John Gordon Rideout

American  [1898-1951] 

John G. Rideout an American Industrial designer credit with working in partnership with of Harold Van Doren on the iconic Air King "Skyscraper" radio from 1933. Rideout designed numerous household items with his most famous design being the aluminum with Bakelite Magnalite Tea Kettle circa 1936. An example of Rideout's Magnalite Tea Kettle is included in the permanent collection of the MoMA in New York.
