Great Violin Designed Vintage Emerson Radio

Ref: RA877

Beautiful Maple Emerson 'Stradivarius' or 'Strad' Model CH-256 circa 1939 in Maple has to be among the most beautiful Ingraham cabinets made. The radio's elegant violin shape, f-holes sounding cutouts and grille bars that resemble the strings of a violin are unlike any other radio. Here is your chance to add this fine example of this "D" dial Emerson to your collection.

This example is in wonderful condition having been professionally restored; highlighting the beautiful veneer. The richness of the veneer used by Ingraham have a remarkable depth of color that is just stunning. Please view all photos to see the incredible workmanship and design of this radio.

The radio still retains its original metal Ingraham tag on the bottom, maroon plastic wrap around inlays and its original bakelite knobs. The gold painted metal dial is original and in great condition. The dial plastic and back panel are correct replacements. Radio has been well taken care of and only shows some fine scratches consistent with age + careful use. This striking Art Deco tube radio would make for a rare addition to a collection.

This small radio measures approximately: 10.5" wide by 6.25" high by 4.5" deep. This set is sold "as-is + untested", the chassis seems complete. Set is being sold as a "non-working" vintage electronic device that should be gone over by a qualified technician.
