Striking and Scarce Emerson AX-235 'Little-Miracle' Catalin Radio in marbleized lapis lazuli blue. Manufactured in 1938 by Emerson Radio + Television this is Emerson's first example of a small Catalin table radio that also features a unique louvered insert grill. This stunning blue catalin radio is accentuated by the streaks of white that run throughout the cabinet adding depth to a great radio. The small size of this radio combined with the great color and contrasting trim really makes for a stunning Art Deco radio.
The beautiful lapis lazuli cabinet has no cracks, chips, tube burns or repairs. It is difficult to find a perfect blue Emerson Little Miracle like this one. This models fragile ivory plastic grill + knobs that are prone to deterioration have been replaced with correct replacements. Radio retains the original color-coded blue back panel in great condition. Water-slide decal + dial plastic are correct replacements.
Radio measures approximately: 8.85" wide by 5.25" high by 3.75" deep. This set is sold "as-is + untested", the chassis seems complete, cord is cut. Set is being sold as a "non-working" vintage electronic device that should be gone over by a qualified technician prior to use.
