Seldom Seen Color Combination for a Catalin Sonora KM

Ref: RA966

Sonora KM 'Coronet' Radio in marbleized alabaster catalin with bluish-green (pastel blue) catalin trim. This example has the rare original pastel blue trim which has taken on a green patina. The contrast in color makes for a great Art Deco radio. This is the only Catalin radio produced by Sonora Radio of Chicago, Illinois. The subtly marbleized Catalin cabinet has beautiful transparency that gives it depth.

This scarce catalin radio has no cracks, chips or repairs to cabinet or trim; has minor tube burn which is often the case with this model also has a small chip on inside of cabinet where back panel screws in. The radios front faceplate, knobs and handle are original to the radio and makes for a nice contrast in color.  Radio has the original light blue/green center dial pointer, mesh grill cloth and back panel.  Dial plastic and water-slide decal are correct replacements. Radio cabinet has been cut/polished back to its original alabaster color by Decophobia and has an incredible gloss to it.

Radio measures approximately: 9" wide by 5.5" wide by 5.25" deep. This set is sold "as-is + untested", the chassis seems complete.  Set is being sold as a "non-working" vintage electronic device that should be gone over by a qualified technician.
