Stunning Highly Swirled Dark Green with Yellow Trim Stewart Warner
Marbleized Stewart Warner 62T36 Catalin Radio in Dark Green/Black with Yellow trim. This model is the second largest catalin radio made(second only to the RCA 66X series) + one of only a few Catalins with a shortwave band. The Catalin has a deep shine, original factory gloss, rich color, glow + also has exceptionally striking yellow marbleizing. This beautiful set is in great condition with no cracks, chips, tube burns or repairs to the cabinet or trim. All trim pieces are original to the radio. Radio is all-original including the painted dial glass and bottom paper label. This great radio would make a great addition to any radio or Art Deco collection. This stately radio measures: 13.25" wide x 8" high x 6.5" deep. This set is sold "as-is + untested", the chassis seems complete. Stewart Warner "Lady's Head" Radio R108X in Black + Silver
Rare Art Deco Metal Case Radio with Silhouetted Lady's Face
Rare Stewart Warner Radio R108X "Lady's Head" in jet black with silver accents. Manufactured in 1933 by the Stewart Warner Corporation. This small metal case radio is among the rarest of Art Deco radios to be found. The Silhouette on the front of the radio is the embodiment of the roaring 1920s flapper style. The "Lady's Head" radio was made in silver/black or the minimally produced black/silver making it the rarest. Radio is untouched and in great condition showing some signs of wear, corrosion to the paint consistent with age + use. The silver round painted knobs as well as is the silver metal mesh grill cloth are original to the radio. Radio is complete with original metal back panel and Alemite Corporation sticker still affixed to the bottom of cabinet + rear of the chassis. Philip Collins features an example of this radio on page 16 of the book "Radios of The Golden Age". Measures approximately: 7.62" wide x 7" high x 4.5" deep.
