Swirled Green Emerson AU-190 Catalin Tombstone Radio
Stunning Green Marbleized Catalin Emerson AU-190 Radio
Ref: RA990
Strikingly Swirled Emerson AU-190 radio from 1937 in a Green or Brazilian Onyx as Emerson referred to it. This swirled and clear example is absolutely stunning; you can see the chassis through some parts of the cabinet! The green Catalin cabinet is heavily marbleized with tones of green, yellow, clear and brown that add depth to an already beautiful radio. The radio is in original, untouched condition, and is just a great example of this seldom seen color Emerson 'Tombstone' model.
Radio cabinet is in perfect condition with no cracks, chips, tube burns or repairs and has a beautiful gloss to it. The 3 matching catalin knobs are perfect + original to the radio. Gold fabric grill cloth is original + in good condition with some signs of age as expected. Water-slide decal + dial plastic are correct replacements. Radio has small scratches consistent with age + use of set. This highly marbleized green Emerson radio is absolutely striking and would make a fantastic addition to a radio collection.
Radio measures approximately: 7" wide by 10" high by 5" deep. This set is sold "as-is + untested", the chassis seems complete. Set is being sold as a "non-working" vintage electronic device that should be gone over by a qualified technician prior to use.
